2014-15 Senior Picture dates will be July 14, 15, 16, 17 and 18 at Lifetouch Studios in Bristol. Detailed information will be mailed to your home address within 2 weeks prior to the scheduled sessions. If you need to re-schedule or do not receive your appointment card in the mail, contact Lifetouch at 423-764-3778.
Science Hill Attendance Office (Topper Student Center) will be open from 7am-3:30pm during the summer. The Administration Office will be closed.
Updated Dress Code Information for Science Hill SY 2014-15
Students are expected to display good taste in matters of dress and grooming at all Science Hill High School activities. Attire and grooming should not disturb or distract from classroom instruction. A dress code contract will be sent home the 1st day of school and will require a parent signature. Return the signed form to 1st period teachers.
The list of unacceptable attire includes, but is not limited to, clothing with offensive messages, including advertisements for drugs, alcohol, violence, sexual messages or messages with double meaning (sexual innuendo); revealing clothing (including but not limited to tank tops, spaghetti straps, halter tops, low-cut tops, midriffs, inappropriate holes, and short shorts/skirts); pajamas and house shoes.
Excessive cleavage is considered inappropriate for school. All tops must have a sleeve. Shorts, skirts, and dress length must be at least mid-thigh. Short – shorts/skirts are not made acceptable by the wearing of leggings. Leggings, yoga pants, and other such apparel must be worn with a top that reaches mid-thigh in order to be appropriate.
All pants will be worn at the waist and “sagging” will not be allowed. Natural hair colors are acceptable. Hair colors and hair styles that are disruptive to the learning environment are not acceptable. Accessories that pose a threat to the safety of students are not permissible (such as spiked jewelry, spiked collars, chains, and trench coats).
Head coverings, bandannas, and sunglasses are unacceptable inside the school buildings during the day.
It is within the administration’s discretion to determine appropriate dress and grooming.
Offense 1-2 Warning and parent will be asked to bring appropriate clothing.
Offense 3+ Student will serve detention during Topper Flex Time and may receive additional discipline as excessive number of offenses become insubordination.
